Love Thy Neighbor Day 2021

posted January 27, 2021

Northeast Community Fund of Decatur is a social impact organization whose mission is "To help needy families in the community with the resources available in a caring and Christ-like manner." This February we are raising awareness and seeking donations from the community to support our LOVE THY NEIGHBOR CAMPAIGN!

The coronavirus pandemic has forced food banks and social service organizations to rise to the occasion and address issues that have taken our community to unprecedented lows. Many within Decatur have been put on unpaid leave, causing financial hardship for basic needs, and creating food-insecure families. Additionally, measures intending to reduce virus transmission are leaving seniors and immunocompromised people without critical services.

Disrupted supply chains, panic buying, and hoarding have made it difficult to get food to those who need it most. With the grace of God, Northeast Community Fund is meeting the needs of thousands of families in our community and we will continue to serve those in need.

On Friday, February 12th Northeast Community Fund will be broadcasting from 6 am to 9 am on the Busboom and Wolfe Show-Talk 101FM. The Cromwell Radio Group will help us raise funds to continue our work within the community by serving and helping those in need.

We would love your support for Northeast Community Fund on February 12th. All donations will be read aloud on-air, and gifts over $100 will receive a dozen heart cookies.

Pledge your donation before February 10th and we will deliver your cookies before Valentine's Day. Please address any questions or sponsorship interest to Angel Lawrence at director@northeastcommunityfund.org.
